@jason I liked it! I think it helps to be in a certain frame of mind while reading it (depressed and anxious about human frailty and the inevitability of death worked well).

@jeffmueller those facets worked for me. I just thought it was a lazy effort, from a writing standpoint.

I know, who am I to question McCarthy and the Pulitzer committee?!

@jason Wasn't it an admitted lazy effort? I think he said he wrote it very quickly after a trip through west Texas with his son.
