last night i had the first dream in my life that could be described as "religious": someone calling themselves 'jesus' (long hair, glasses, dazed expression) showed up on TV saying that they had Returned, but they needed to acquire the "fourth stone" which would Evolve them into something called "Golden Jesus". then Moloch would appear and begin destroying the world, whilst Golden Jesus allowed us to escape like the last chopper out of saigon. that was the plan apparently

Fell asleep at the desk for like half a second. Always worry I've woken up in the wrong parallel reality.

@chr Then again people who have literally /never/ used anything federated or disparate don't understand the system.

"WHAT IS THE WEBSITE JUST TELL ME"

"you have to choose"

"THIS IS DUMB"

@Elizafox that's a UI problem more than anything, the landing page for mastodon.social doesn't really make it clear that it's one instance in a large network / where to find other instances (the "Other instances" link is like 8pt font and still leads to the totally unmanageable github page)

If your are noticing your federated timeline is being covered in junk, you can always silence some domains in the panel.

It doesn't stop people from following people on those instances.

It just prevents their stuff from being shown in the timeline.

I'm sure for my massive amounts of tooting people have silenced mst3k.interlinked.me.

When you suddenly remember that human bodies actually look really weird and we're just conditioned/programmed to like them and you can't stop thinking about it.

For every thing you like there will be people who think it sucks, but try not to let it get you down. Their thoughts don't change the reality, or how much you like whatever it is you like.

And even smart people can have bad taste.

Turns out I had my computer on backwards. Sorry everyone, I guess this explains a lot.

(#1 is velcro.)

Too many beautiful people in the world. Is there a Cute Peak like the oil peak but with dimples?

You'd think there would be hundreds of time travel video games, given that the nature of interactive storytelling makes it the perfect medium for chronological heckery. But there are, like, five. Ten maybe.

It's a time travelsty.

Yeah yeah, let's collapse society and throw the world into a constructive, people-driven chaos that reorganises existing classes into a fair and equitable system that doesn't exploit the poor and recognises the oppressed...

... but will this brave new world have donuts?
